When you are in your 20’s, anti-aging products aren’t typically on your mind. But signs of aging often manifest quite early these days, even before you hit 30 – it could be due to exposure to sun, stress, hormonal changes, and other factors. That is why, wrinkle prevention should start timely, so the situation doesn’t spin out of control.
How can you prevent wrinkles? Take a look:
Cleanse thoroughly
Regardless of how tired you feel, you have to wash off makeup, oil, sweat, and bacteria before you retire for the night. Using a face wash isn’t sufficient; the skin should be exfoliated, toned, and moisturized too.
Get facials on a monthly basis
For women in their 20s, it is necessary to keep skin clean and free from bacteria that can cause breakouts and blemishes. Monthly facials help to destroy such bacteria and also prevent wrinkles and fine lines.
Protect from sun exposure
Protecting skin against harmful UV rays is one of the most effective ways to prevent aging for youngsters. You must use sunscreen every single day of the year, not just when it is sunny. It should have an SPF (sun protection factor) of at least 30 or higher.
Use an eye cream
By starting at a young age, you can help prevent the formation of wrinkles in the eye area, which is the first part of the face that shows signs of aging. If you have recently spotted crow’s feet around the eyes, don’t panic! Buy a well-formulated eye cream to keep the delicate area nourished and protected.
Go easy on anti-aging products
Do you have oily skin? Does your skin get dry often? Do you have a combination of both skin types? It is imperative to know your skin type before you start using any product, or it could have an adverse effect. It is good to be conscious about early appearance signs of aging, so you can take preventive measures. But remember not to overdo it.
Several anti-aging products have active ingredients that boost metabolism of cells, which could be too active for a younger complexion. Since skin in the 20s is already metabolically active, the stimulation of anti-aging products could possibly increase breakouts. Instead of overusing anti-aging products, you should focus on cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting skin against sun exposure.
Last but not the least, eat food that is rich in antioxidants, drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated, and get sound sleep at night!
